Golf Trip Guide’s 2026 Masters Pool: Official Rules

The finer details of our pool.

Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The Golf Trip Guide Masters Pool (the “Promotion”) is sponsored and administered by Golf Trip Guide (“Sponsor”), a media brand.

This Promotion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Augusta National Golf Club or The Masters Tournament.

2. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to individuals who are:

  • At least 18 years of age at the time of entry
  • Legal residents of the United States

Void where prohibited by law.

3. Entry Period

The Promotion begins upon announcement and ends at the start of the first round of the Masters Tournament (the “Entry Deadline”).

Entries submitted after the Entry Deadline will not be eligible.

4. How to Enter

To enter:

  • Complete the official entry form
  • Submit one (1) selection from each of the following categories:
    • Players age 50 and over
    • Amateur players
    • Players outside the top 50 betting odds

Limit one (1) entry per person.

Any participant found to have submitted multiple entries will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or win.

5. Scoring

Each entry will receive a total score based on the combined finishing positions of the three selected players.

  • Lower total score = better performance
  • The entry with the lowest combined finishing position wins

For purposes of scoring:

  • Ties and non-ties will be treated the same
(e.g., tied positions will be counted at their listed placement value)

6. Missed Cuts, Withdrawals, and Disqualifications

If a selected player misses the cut:

  • That player will be assigned a finishing position based on their standing on the leaderboard at the conclusion of Friday’s round (i.e., after the cut is determined)
  • Even though a missed cut does not result in an official finishing position, the Sponsor will assign a position for scoring consistency using the leaderboard at that time

If a player withdraws or is disqualified:

  • That player will move to last place in the tournament, i.e., one position behind the last player including players who missed the cut.

All scoring determinations are made at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

7. Tiebreakers

In the event of a tie:

  • First tiebreaker: Closest prediction to the correct tiebreaker answer submitted at entry
  • Second tiebreaker: Random drawing among tied participants

All tiebreaker determinations are final.

8. Prize

The winner will receive the prize described in the Promotion announcement.

  • Approximate Retail Value (ARV): As stated in promotional materials
  • Prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or substituted, except at Sponsor’s discretion

If prize value exceeds applicable thresholds, the winner may be required to complete tax documentation (e.g., IRS Form 1099).

9. Winner Selection and Notification

The winner will be determined after the conclusion of the Masters Tournament once all scores are finalized.

The winner will be notified via the email address provided at entry.

If the winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.

10. General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to:

  • Be bound by these Official Rules
  • Allow Sponsor to use their name for promotional purposes without additional compensation (where permitted by law)

Sponsor reserves the right to:

  • Disqualify any participant suspected of tampering, abuse, or violation of these rules
  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion if necessary due to technical or unforeseen issues

All decisions by the Sponsor are final and binding.

11. Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Late, lost, or incomplete entries
  • Technical errors or failures
  • Any issues that may affect participation or scoring

Participation is at entrant’s own risk.

12. Privacy

Information collected will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy practices and may be used for Golf Trip Guide communications.

13. Governing Law

This Promotion is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
